Tom qualifies for Paralympic Trials

2011 - Trophy Holders

Congratultions to all swimmers who were presented with the following trophies at the Club's annual BBQ:-

  • Piers Watford - Vasen Trophy (Boy who has improved most during the year)
  • Ellie Hall - Baxter Cup (Girl who has improved most during the year)
  • Stephen Egenes/Monica Ong - Ron Berryman Trophy for Endeavour (Boy & Girl who try hardest in training and at galas, not necessarily the best swimmers in the club)
  • Ben Muckleston/Sarah Tan - Best club boy and Best club girl (Hard working members who train hard and support the club whenever asked)
  • James Loveman/Holly Winfield - Links Shield (senior boy & girl swimmer who have excelled most during the year)

BAGCATS 2011 - Top 8

The club managed a wonderful 6 swimmers who placed in the Top 8 in Herts at the 2011 County Championships.  Pictured are Monica, Heather, Dalia and Ben (Sophie and Robbie missed the photo shoot).

These swimmers are now invited to a Herts Development Day in June.  Well done to them.

Well done Tom - Regional Champion

Tom Hempenstall won a Bronze medal in the 100m Free, a silver in the 400m Free, Gold in the 200m I/M in a new S14 East Region record time of 2.52.91 and Gold in the 100m Breast in another East Region S14 record time of 1.31.51.

Well done James - Regional Champion

 East Regional Youth Champs - 2011

James Loveman achieved a PB in the 50m Freestyle and is the 2011 East Regional champion in the 50m Breast winning the Gold medal in a time of 32.51sec
